Multicolored playsuit

T-shirt: H&M, Playsuit: Miss Selfridge, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Office, Rings: Topshop

I did it, I went against every bone in my body and I entered River Island. Worse still, I purchased not one, but 2 items and neither are embellished with rhinestones, glitter writing or some sort of 'babes' slogan. Although that would be tricky seeing as both items are shoes, but still, you get the gist. It seemed to be a day for breaking my own rules as the shoes I bought are actually clogs, now I haven't admitted this before but I hate clogs. I know the whole world can't get enough of clogs at the moment, but they are ugly, stupid shoes that should have stayed in Holland (yes I know I just bought 2 pairs, shhh).

River Island £44.99 £25

Here's the offending item, I got an identical pair in tan (oops) I doubt I'll keep both pairs though. I'm having second thoughts about keeping either pair actually. I'm not sure if they're really me.

In other news I have a job trial tonight at (oh god) Pizza Express. Yes I'm really putting that £30,000 first class degree to good use. Although, my job title is a runner, so I've got the title right, only I'll be running pizza not film rushes. Not that I actually want to be running film rushes, I can't be bothered with all that making tea crap.

  4. I've been seeing clogs everywhere lately! I'm not a big fan of RiverIsland but their clogs look better than Topshop. topshop can get things wrong sometimes. xx

  5. I hate clogs too & the whole obsession with them since Alexa Chung stepped out in a pair, but I must say I'll be popping into River Island tomorrow to find the tan pair!

I'll ignore their wooden soles and just call them sandals instead :)

  8. Hi there I just wanted to let you know I have a giveaway going on my blog right now! You could win a Shabby Apple dress.

Also, I love the vintage watch you've worn in a few posts, is it a men's watch originally? I have a lot of dainty watches but want something bolder.

  9. Haha this post made me chuckle. I feel exactly the same about River Island - especially their bags which are just far to bedecked in RRs for my liking! No subtlety whatsover. I'm still unsure about the clog-thing. Outfit post? Give em a week ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad

  10. Ah you got sucked in :P It's so hard to avoid the lure of those fabulous wooden heels though, I opted for a sandal clog in my miu miu's, I tried not to give in lol

  19. Truly, I understand your hesitance to join the clog craze! I have always associated clogs with my mother who - though utterly fabulous in her right - wore clogs to work as a chef every single day. I purchased a faaantastic pair of Swedish Hasbeens this summer however, and I couldn't love them more!!! So... welcome to the club ;)

I'm so happy to have found your blog - it's lovely!!!! xx

  33. Don't be hating clogs. clogs are misunderstood. I've loved clogs whether they be in or out. I'm a cook by profession and they are thee shoe to wear in the kitchen. Don't underestimate their ugly charm.

  34. Ha, you ended up buying 3 pairs!! I love these topshop ones but I've tried them on and don't find them very comfy (no flexibility) so I vote for keeping the tan River Island ones! x

  35. ooh! love it! I really want some heeled clogs myself, any ways I think that you should get the topshop ones. Although there probably more me but are they more you? ❤
