Now, first of all I have to admit that I actually made this list yongos ago but completely forgot to publish it! So if the whole camel debate seems a little out of date then I apologise. I'm not really sure where I stand in terms of camel love, I wouldn't say it's a trend that I hate, but equally it's not a trend that will have me begging other girls to hand over the last camel item in the shop (Yes I actually did beg someone to let me have the last pair of sold out Kurt Geiger sale boots that I had just been to 5 shops in search of and had been desperate for for months, whereas she had merely picked them up quite nonchalantly, as if they were any old boots, 20 seconds before me. She bought them anyway. Bitch).

It just seems to be something I can't escape from, every magazine I open, every blog I read and every shop I enter is channelling AW 2010's biggest colour and it looks like I'm about to join them. At first, I didn't think this would be a trend that I could get on board with, but typically I seem to have changed my mind already. While trawling through online shops, my love for this trend seemed to grow with every click of the mouse. From chunky knits, to fitted blazers, anything and everything can be found in camel. Have any of the items in my list turned you into a camel convert too? (if you weren't loving the trend already that is) and will you be channelling head to toe camel this autumn? (apparently that's the chic way to wear it) I'm not sure I'm that brave, but here's one thing I never thought I'd say; I'm looking forward to having a wardrobe full of camel!

  2. I do love camel, but I think you can only wear this colour in Autumn, so I would only buy something in camel that can be worn year after year, like a coat or accessories.

  11. Good boots! And from next which is a bit of a surprise. I prefer the richer camel as compared to the biscuit/beige tones. They can be hard to pull off on such a pasty girl as myself!

  19. I love camel! I will probably end up looking like one this winter. I bought a camel coat and skirt, but with the coat any additional camel attire looks like I'm well and truly on the band wagon. But no, I love it, best trend in a while I'd say!

  25. I've been trying to move away from black, white and grey as neutrals and more towards these colours for a while, but it hasn't been working very well. Sometimes the colour is basically my skin colour, and seems a little too risque lol.

  27. I have to admit I'm not much of a fan of camel! But you may be changing my mind (and bank account status!! he he!) with this post ;)

I think I'm too pale to wear such neutral colours though I'd look a tad deathly! I can't wait to see how you'd wear them though!

Ah ha mean girl in the shoe store! You should have jumped her afterwards and stolen the shoes he he ;) (I'm joking by the way! Being arrested for GBH is a bit far for shoes!) X

QuiteQuaint - I know I'm probably gonna be singing and dancing away with a green face of envy when I see them! haha thank you for commenting!

Ps, I know everyone says this in a comment but I actually LOVE your blog. I really like the way you've laid it out and the way in which you've presented the camel coloured items above is fab! Did you use a particular program for this? Also I'm afraid to say I've totalling been taken in by the camel trend and am a big fan x

  31. I love your story about the girl buying your boots. Poor you! Somebody recently swooped on a dress I'd just decided to think about for five minutes, and that was the end of that. Grrrr.

I really like the swallow print shorts, and the lovely crochet brogues, but I confess that camel is a colour I try to keep away from my face, I find it washes out pale people terribly!
