Monochrome Stripe Dress

Necklace: Urban Outfitters, Dress: H&M, Sandals: Topshop

I bought this dress last Thursday and it's quickly become my go to item. Its so comfy and effortless, I've grabbed it every time I just had to pop to the shop for milk or walk to the post box. That's right, for the last 2 days I haven't actually been dressed until I realised I needed to leave the house for something! It's so hot I've mostly been lazing around the garden in cotton pyjama shorts and a crop top. Thank god my garden isn't overlooked! Anyway, at £14.99 I think the dress is a winner.

What i Did: Graduation

I graduated yesterday, which filled me with joy and dread simultaneously. It was a great feeling to have achieved something, but now I actually feel like it's time to stop being a bum... oh well, I guess waitressing will do for now. The gown was so heavy and hot and the hood kept dropping back and choking me, but when it came to taking it off I missed it a bit. Maybe I should have bought it after all, it would have been fun to strut around the house in, it could even have made a good dressing gown, although I think £80 for a dressing gown is a little pricey.

Multicolored playsuit

T-shirt: H&M, Playsuit: Miss Selfridge, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Office, Rings: Topshop

I did it, I went against every bone in my body and I entered River Island. Worse still, I purchased not one, but 2 items and neither are embellished with rhinestones, glitter writing or some sort of 'babes' slogan. Although that would be tricky seeing as both items are shoes, but still, you get the gist. It seemed to be a day for breaking my own rules as the shoes I bought are actually clogs, now I haven't admitted this before but I hate clogs. I know the whole world can't get enough of clogs at the moment, but they are ugly, stupid shoes that should have stayed in Holland (yes I know I just bought 2 pairs, shhh).

River Island £44.99 £25

Here's the offending item, I got an identical pair in tan (oops) I doubt I'll keep both pairs though. I'm having second thoughts about keeping either pair actually. I'm not sure if they're really me.

In other news I have a job trial tonight at (oh god) Pizza Express. Yes I'm really putting that £30,000 first class degree to good use. Although, my job title is a runner, so I've got the title right, only I'll be running pizza not film rushes. Not that I actually want to be running film rushes, I can't be bothered with all that making tea crap.

Polka Dot Playsuit

I got my wish, the sun made a brief appearance yesterday so I opted for a summery playsuit. Good job I made the most of it, because it poured with rain again today. I'm actually quite glad, I love being cosy inside my house when it's raining outside, as long as I know I don't have anywhere I need to be!

Playsuit: Primark, T-shirt: H&M, Cameo Necklace: Accessorize, Watch: Vintage, Brogues: Office

I've never really felt comfortable in this playsuit, I think it's the shape, I tried rolling the sleeves up which seemed to help. My brogues are seriously battered now, I did prefer them that way, there's something a bit odd about a pair of pristine brogues, but I think it's time for a new pair. I tried out the high bun again today, my mum said it looked lovely, which completely put me off because I know she meant it looked lovely like a school teacher, not lovely lovely.

Leather, Lace & Denim

Leather Jacket: Topshop, Blouse: H&M, Denim Shorts: Vintage Levis, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Tights: M&S, Boots: Urban Outfitters, Watch: Vintage

I want the sunshine back! It was nice to have 1 day of layering up but today I stood in front of my wardrobe for ages trying to decide what to wear. I've forgotten how to dress for kind-of-warm-kind-of-cold-when-the-wind-blows-and-it-rains weather. I was just desperate to put on a pretty sun dresses again.

First Class

I got my results letter today, confirming that I got a first class degree!!! YES. Not that my degree is good for anything...! I actually found out online last Thursday, but getting the letter makes it feel a bit more real. The boyf and I went to Strada for a bargain banquet thanks to his Taste London card, which gave us 50% off everything. We ate so much that we thought there was no chance of getting even slightly tipsy, but thought we'd give it a go of course! We ended up suitably drunk thanks to several trusty Tokyo iced tea's, listening to a live jazz band. We can do sophistication sometimes... (hah)

Anyway, I'm in a bit of a pickle now, my graduation is next Friday and I have no idea what I'm supposed to wear! My gown will be open, so my outfit will be visible. The flappy bits on the gown are light blue and navy so I don't want anything that will clash too much, and I cant wear anything too patterned. I know I'm meant to look smart, but I don't really do smart so I have no idea where to start.
